Antibiotic Resistance

All authorities, SMI included, and organisations with responsibility to act upon the problem with antibiotic resistance, were 1995 formed into a network named STRAMA. The STRAMA secretariat is located at SMI.

The main objective of the network is to preserve antibiotics as effective treatments. A National Action Plan Against Resistance (SPAR) has been worked out. SMI and its antibiotic resistance group are coordinating the national surveillance of antibiotic resistance.
